Street Tree Planting

Your are invited to plant a tree in front of your house for a low cost ($150.00). Planting trees will:

• Help beautify the neighborhood
• Increase your property value
• Help reduce pollution, block wind, and absorb noise
• Build community spirit

The cost of planting a tree (about $300.00 if you did it on your own) is being subsidized by Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF). Friends will:

• Help select the right tree for you. There are many species of tree to choose from that do not drop flowers or fruits, and trees that drop leaves infrequently.
• Process the permits, remove the concrete, and supply the tree, tools, and materials.
• Help us plant our new trees on Planting Day.

Next neighborhood tree planting will be scheduled after 30 neighbors have signed up.
